PAINTED THREADS: Art Gallery & Upcycled Fashion Show

In collaboration with @butterflygrovee, we will be hosting our first Art Gallery and Upcycled Fashion Show, “Painted Threads”. This idea sprouted from wanting to bridge a connection between disciplines, and innovative creativity is what allowed us to thread them together.

We scouted upcycle designers specifically because we believe in using materials that exist or are in our possession already to bring present visions to life. In art, it’s not always about reinventing the wheel but nurturing the wheel as a foundational pillar to build off of. Each designer has been paired with an artist that reflects their themes and aesthetics. The rest are artists who have been pushing the boundaries of upcycling in their respective fields and ALL are talented, local creatives from Houston.

Doors open at 7 PM, seating starts at 7:45, and the show will start at 8:00 PM. The fashion show will run for about an hour and thirty minutes, with the runway closing and the gallery open for viewing till we close. The audience will have the opportunity to purchase looks and pieces from the designers and artists themselves at this time.
